2. Integrity of content

  • Originality: Content (articles, reviews, interviews) must be original and sourced. Plagiarism, uncredited rewriting, or falsification of information are strictly prohibited.
  • Respect for facts: The information published must be verified. In the event of an error, a clear and visible correction must be published promptly.
  • Respect for artists: Reviews must remain constructive and avoid personal attacks. The right of reply is guaranteed.

3. Relations with industry players

  • Gifts and benefits: Journalists and contributors must not accept any gifts, services, or benefits (tickets, goodies, VIP access, etc.) that could compromise their independence. Promotional items (albums, books) must be declared and must not influence evaluations.

  • Disclosure of partnerships: Any sponsored, advertising, or partnership content must be identified as such (e.g., “Partner article,” “Advertisement”).
  • Editorial process: Rating criteria (for album reviews, concerts, etc.) must be public and applied consistently.
  • Right of reply: Any person or entity mentioned in a negative light has the right to respond, and this response will be published in full.

5. Respect for rights and individuals

  • Copyright: The media outlet undertakes to respect copyright and to systematically credit sources (photos, music excerpts, quotes).
  • Data protection: The personal information of artists, interviewees, or readers will not be disclosed without their explicit consent.
  • Diversity and inclusion: The media outlet undertakes to promote fair coverage of musical genres, artists (men/women, minorities), and cultures.

6. Individual and collective responsibilities

  • Continuing education: Members are encouraged to regularly educate themselves on the ethical and legal issues of music journalism.
  • Reporting: Any breach of this charter must be reported to management or a designated ethics officer.
  • Sanctions: In the event of a proven violation, proportionate measures (warning, suspension, exclusion) may be taken.

7. Commitment

  • Regular review: This charter will be reviewed annually to adapt to developments in the sector and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Accessibility: It will be published online and communicated to all employees, journalists, artists, and partners.
